She was the best T.A. I have ever had!! She made things clear, easy to understand, and FUN! Very personable, acted more like a friend to hang out with than an authority. very knowledgeable, this T.A. was better than the Prof! and seemed to know more than he did! easy marker!

I am not if he knows what he is supposed to teach. He just handed out readings that did not help with anything and I do not think anybody understood anything. no learning at all. I never felt I was in a drawing class. At the end he gave hard marks but I do not know what on earth he was marking us on.

I've taken two classes with John; one at Camosun College and again at Uvic (only picked the class because he was the teacher). He's one of the nicest people you could ever meet and his classes are great for exposing and understanding different venues of artistic expression across the world. Wonderful prof! - highly recommend!

I had Ti for 1st,2nd and 3rd year photography. I felt she had an open mind and encouraged you to persue your own intrests in terms of photography. She supported knowledge and class discussion. If you needed help she took time to explain things until you understood fully. By far one of my favorite teachers -- she will be missed. :)

Megan always had something nice to say about every piece of art her students made. She always gave good feedback and even came to class to help students even when it wasn't her scheduled day to teach. Clearly, she enjoys what she teaches, and enjoys helping students with their work. Definitely a recommended prof! :)

he was an excellent prof, a little slow...sometimes. But we usually got out an hour before class actually ended. He is sort of scatter brained but if you show an interest and talk in class you are pretty much guaranteed a good mark. Also be sure to know what he wants- just ask him what he likes. EASY

Incredibly well spoken, John makes even the most frivolous art theory seem grounded. He is very dedicated to his subject matter and students. I would say he's a fair grader as long as you're willing to put in the effort. Always compassionate and forgiving - one of my uvic favorites!

Luanne is very knowledgable when it comes to contemporary art. She often talked too fast in her lectures which made it difficult to take notes. MAKE SURE TO WRITE DOWN INFO SHE WRITES ON THE BOARD. This will most likely be on the in-class quizzes. Overall a very interesting prof, though she could use some clarity on how to do assignments/projects.

Mark is a young vibrant teacher, but his age is reflective in his teaching practice. I did not learn anything new in his classes. No technical instruction was provided, even when asked for by many students. He is lazy with his teaching and his lectures are thrown together last minute. The work was interesting, but I came out with no new art skills.
