Also had for 496. Her lectures are right from the slides. I wouldn't say I learned much, but it is definitely not hard to do well in the class you just need to go. Half the points are from quizzes u don't even need to do that well on and she gives so much extra credit I don't know how any one can do too bad
Prof. Mostashari put me through a lot of pain, but I am glad I took his course. He is very friendly, but very tough at the same time. Very high expectations. At the end of the course everyone got their papers accepted in reputable conferences. Highly recommend
BEST PROFESSOR. Curves everything and gives a half a grade curve at the end of the semester. The class was fun and useful. Only thing is that he has no office hours. As long as you pay attention in class, you should be able to get an easy A.
He is kind of awkward and makes little jokes in class that are not funny. Not a very personal guy but he grades pretty easy on papers which there aren't a lot of! But the midterm and final are very hard and a lot of writing. Good thing each paper, the midterm and final all had the same weight towards grading.
Orchestration class in a word was awesome. Andy taught all the aspects of the orchestra very clearly in a very entertaining way and including examples of how certain musical sound cues or effects are done. He is very helpful when you need help although he is quite the busy man and may be difficult to reach.
She is a good professor. Extremely strict, and a no-nonsense teacher. Her chem quizzes, during the recitations, are easy. Since the recitation has a lot to cover every week, it's difficult to get some questions answered.
