Painful class, but you're forced to take it so it's not like you can avoid it. Albanese does do a lot to help you pass the portfolio reading, so I would recommend her.

Don't take this if you aren't a Poli Sci major. I thought it might be interesting when I signed up. Believe me, it's not. The professor tried, and she did bring up interesting things during some lectures, but it just isn't a very interesting subject. Tests were open book, and I would have been screwed if they weren't. Somehow pulled good grades on the essays. Not a hard class, but I'd recommend something else if you're just looking to knock out a DEC.

Good class, especially with Hagedorn. The material isn't that difficult, but you do have to put work in if you want a good grade. Hagedorn is concerned with students learning, and she wants everyone to pass. She might come off a little cold at first, but you will learn that is far from the truth if you talk to her. One could say that she's too nice at times. She's a caring professor if there ever was one.

This class is overrated. Fact of the matter is that you can take easier DEC Hs. Sure, it's easy, but the work is tedious (even though anyone can do it), there's a good amount of it, and it's not rewarding to do. It just isn't worth it. You can take classes that are much more interesting and engaging that are still easy As. Plus, the textbook is a useless $150 thing that he wrote, and you basically have to buy it if you want attendance credit. Do yourself a favor and take something else.
