The start of the class was rocky but as it moved on, she was more concise and organized in her material -- she does like to stray and go off on personal histories but it links the lecture to real life occurances. She was fair and I would recommend her to teach any class on First Nation people

She is by far the worst professor I have ever had in Native Studies. Her assigned readings are over 20 pages in length and half the time she does not even discuss the readings. Her lectures are extremely hard to follow, and she is a tough marker. I would not recommend this class to anybody.

Avoid this class at all costs. She is very rude, and marks VERY unfairly! Has no respect for students and is impossible to follow in lectures. Preaches respect and good relations and treats everyone like garbage. I was afraid to ask questions, even to clarify because she would just bite my head off like everyone else. Take it through someone else!!

had her for native studies 200, guest speakers / class was great, prof was not. she just gave dozens of articles as readings, which were barely even required for the class. she lost my essay and my midterm as well, and watch out for "3.6 / 5" for answers regurgitated from her notes. not impressed but at least it\'s over.

She teaches about being politically correct, and ironically teaches completely opposite of that. I definetly believe however that people just don\'t understand that\'s part of her sence of humour and she means well, and likes to have fun. Her class is boring like you wouldnt believe, she will respond better to you if you challenge her views.

Seminars are an absolute waste of time. Chris is a nice enough guy, the class is interesting, but the tests are crap. 80 percent of class was focused on capitalism, 20 percent on aboriginal issues. Not what I expected :(

a great prof. easy to understand and follow.

Best teacher around! Simply fair and easy marks in the Seminars. Just participate and show up and he will give you a great mark!
