Great teacher! Excellent communication skills. Always available and willing to help with questions and understanding of topics. Good knowledge of the course. Very approachable.

This is my second rating of him and this class was much more interesting than 301. The math in Financial Economics is very easy if taken along side ECON325. This class is definately recommended by me!

Despite what everyone else says about Alan, I find him to be an amazing professor. Yes he is a little on the dry side, but he loves geography and loves his students and is a very fair marker. He tries to help you out as much as you can. He tries to make jokes which aren\'t always funny, but hey at least he tries! :)

he was a hell of a lot better than debra clarke! seriously at least his slides and lectures had a direction or end result. Yes he does talk a lot about his own research and laughs at his own jokes, as well as has a hard on for babbie and benaquisto, but he wasn\'t that bad!

Useless. I gained nothing from going to his lectures, so I stopped going. I went to every seminar and received so much more information from the TA. IMO the TA should be teaching this class. O\'Connor\'s essay topics were ridiculous, even though I came out with an A. Main points: Read the books, go to seminars, and listen to the TA.

She gave me 7/10 on participation when i attended all classes and rose my hand for each class...wtf? it seems like she just assigns random marks with a dart board. She seems nice and "funny" on the outside, but inside, her true colours show as a bitter, borring,and indifferent proff. She\'s not the worst, but shes very close to it...

Great prof. Available for extra help if needed. Exams were very fair and he helps prepare you for them. Uses Power Point and makes them available online. Uses good examples to back up his points in lectures. Make sure you read the books in his classes. Will be necessary for assignments & tests.
