Description: The environmental horticultural student requires extensive knowledge of plant materials in order to properly select, use, and maintain the wide variety of plants found in the landscape. Plant Materials 1 will introduce you to approximately 125 plants, covering deciduous trees and shrubs, conifers, vines, ground covers and bulbs. On completion of Levels 1 & 2, you will be able to identify approximately 250 plants commonly used by the landscape industry.
