Description: This course focuses on developing learner competence at performing simple reading and writing tasks. Through various activities, students improve their ability to read and understand short written instructions; longer forms; short texts; and public announcements. Students also practise filling out forms, and writing short paragraphs and messages. Teaching and learning strategies in this course include explanations, demonstrations, tasks, and reading and writing assignments.
