Description: Introduction to 3D is a hands-on course which provides a basic understanding to the construction of 3D environments and its application in various interactive media formats. Working with Plasma and Swift3D, the course is designed for students who want to gain skills in 3D digital space construction without necessarily specializing in 3D animation in their careers. In addition to constructing 3D spaces for film and video and conducting walk-throughs, students will gain knowledge of integrating 3D into other digital media such as websites and Quicktime VR. At the end of the course, students will have a 3D demonstration piece suitable for their portfolios.
