Description: This course will provide the student with the opportunity to explore the industry in more detail with practical experience networking with industry professionals. Students will make informal business contacts and learn the technical aspects of the industry directly from the experts. Students will also learn about industry associations including, International Special Events Society (ISES), Professional Conference Management Association (PCMA), Canadian Society of Professional Event Planners (CSPEP), International Festival and Event Association (IFEA), Meeting Professionals International (MPI), National Association of Catering Executives (NACE).
