Description: This theory course will provide learners with an introduction to basic biochemical concepts important for bioinformatics students. Lecture material will focus on the properties of major biomolecules and the cellular environment in which they exist. Students will be introduced to the major structural features of these nucleic acids and proteins, as well as common methods for studying biomolecular structure.
