It was one of my biggest mistakes to take this DE course. But don\'t get me wrong, this should be a fun course for you if you like earth science. I am just an average cs student who had a whole lot of other stuff to worry about, and this wasn\'t a good choice for me. Do NOT take this course if you\'re only looking for an elective course for credit

An excellent professor! He is passionate about what he teaches and he does a great job helping students learn. Attendance is mandatory and you must pay attention to get a good great. Well worth my tuition money!

his exams are so confusing. it wasnt the material that was hard, it was the way he worded his questions on the exam. you spend more time trying to figure out what the heck he is trying to ask you, than what the answer is. just horrible

Excellent class, but not an easy course. Hard exams. Professor was great, very helpful, but beware of hard exams.

Enjoyed his lectures

Lovely professor! On the last day of class he brings in home-made food and some pop. He\'s so sweet! He\'s a very approachable for extra help too. He just wants his students to do well. Midterms are easy if you have a good memory. Gives bonus marks also and a project worth 10% and gives everyone a good mark. Take a class with him if you can!!!

Possibly one of the easiest classes I\'ve taken at the U of A, her exams were basically carbon copies of the practice exams even though I actually learned some stuff before I found that out. Accent is not that bad, seriously if you have problems with accents avoid the class and about 30% of the classes the U of A offers. Recommend as science option

Simple class but with his guidance it tends to get messy! his notes aren\'t clear but he reads off of them and then hands you the slides therefore you might as well not go. But he does have good movies!

The accent is definitely not a problem, and he seems like a super nice guy. Like the other students said, I also left class lost. Personally, I thought he went a tad fast for some lectures...

Excellent lab instructor, consider yourself lucky if you get him! Andre is nice & helpful, always willing to help out, makes early morning labs not as bad because he's such a great lab instructor!
