The class is easy, you just need to invest time in projects and homework, finally she uses the final exam to lower the class average, so beware. But besides that everything else is clear.

I am very glad she is not teaching any COMSCI courses. She was the reason i did not go to the final exam cuz i was so scared of writing the EXAM! .. i also changed my major to IT becuase of her teaching 1020. Oh gosh i had the worst nightmares when i was taking 1020 with her.

Definitely one of the good profs, professional and helpful. Although some things he taught could be explained in a more simple and understandable way. Like IEEE754 for example, as I later discovered it\'s very very easy but I didn\'t get it in class, had to search the web for info. Final was pretty hard too. Homework is crucial, do it.

Do not take the class if you dont have experience with computer science. If you are clueless with computers the lectures and the textbook are not gonna help you with labs. Melanie is a good proff. She knows what she\'s talking about and she likes what she does, but you have to have computer understanding to understand her.

Very nice guy; always willing to help. He\'s inexperienced though, and it shows. He seems a bit nervous up there, he reads directly from slides (boring), he\'s not well-prepared (often stops to think about how to explain things; he should have thought about it before the lecture!), and he tends to talk in the abstract (gives a rule but no examples).

His lectures are not bad, but his marking is ridiculously insane. If you want anything above B, avoid him. If you are willing to live with C or below, then take him and enjoy his lectures.

Always attend the lectures write them down. Don\'t buy the Book (Absolute Java), he doesn\'t use it. Before the exam read the lectures thoroughly, and you should be fine. I got A+. Watch out for the final. He makes it insanely difficult to lower class avg. Overall, he is great.

He is a dictator. If you do what he says, you won?t fail at least. Those who are really scared of this course go for Jeff, pass is guaranteed if you follow his steps.
