The exams were online which had questions that required students to write 1 page essay (there were many questions like this). There is not enough time for this and the quality will suffer bc of time constraint and computer refreshing deletes it! Not good for answering questions!! She makes you feel like it was a stupid question you asked!

I had Amanda Blackburn in her first class ever and I must say that I thought she did a fantastic job considering that she is still a graduate student pursuing her P.H.D. It is important that each student keep up with the weekly readings, for each week there is a new quiz (collectively worth 30%). Two midterms (20%+20%) and one term paper (30%)

Very excellent professor! Very passionate about what she teaches and has a strong desire to have her students understand the material. Very good at explaining its relevance and why it is important, which makes learning easier and more interesting. Very approachable and wants the student to learn. Extremely beautiful as well! 10/10.

-too high on himself, and is definitely an arm-chair anthropologist. Is too busy talking about all the "important" people he knows to actually teach (or, god forbid, *learn* about other cultures).

Good course. I learned a lot. He never gave back one assignment! Not one comment came back! It was one excuse after another. Maybe he wanted to leave our final grade as a surprise???? It was my last class before graduation, and I did not like waiting more than A WEEK after mark deadlines to get that surprise. AND he was the ASSOC. DEAN of ARTS!!

Helpful prof, very sympathetic and will help you if you are willing to take it. Class is pretty easy, and if you go you don\'t really need to read the text. The tests are never on specific names, dates etc. She does have an accent but it isn\'t hard to understand her. Subject material is pretty interesting too. Recommend this class

She was an amazing professor. She did her best with marking as quickly as possible. She was also very understanding if you needed extra time for a paper.
